Consider Glanmore your community classroom, where history comes to life in inspiring and enriching ways. The museum is an exciting place to learn and discover and an important educational resource in Belleville.

Our education programs are designed to support the learning objectives of the Ontario curriculum through inquiry-based learning practices. A variety of programs are offered for school visits throughout the year. Custom programs can also be developed.

School Programming

 School Program Bookings/Inquiries:
  • Spaces fill quickly, book early to avoid disappointment. Select a program from the current offerings.  
  • Have your planning calendar on hand and determine two or three potential dates for your museum visit.
  • For program bookings and Inquiries about custom programs fill out a program booking/inquiry form, or call the Education and Marketing Coordinator at (613) 962-2329 ext. 3653
General Information:
  • Due to space limitations in the historic house school programs All programs are $4.50 (including HST) per student, unless otherwise noted. A limited number of adult supervisors are admitted free of charge.
  • Cash, cheque, debit, Visa or MasterCard payment is due upon your group's arrival at Glanmore.
  • School programs are available Tuesday to Friday, morning or afternoons. Start times are flexible.
  • Booking confirmation and links to educator resources will be sent by email several weeks prior to your visit.
  • Notification of cancellation must be received at least two weeks prior to the program date or a $25.00 cancellation fee will apply (except in the case of school bus cancellation due to weather).
  • A bus loading and parking areas is located beside the museum on the East side of Dufferin Avenue.
Accessibility and School Programming
  • An accessible entrance enables visitors with mobility difficulties to access the main floor of the historic building.  In periods of extreme cold the vertical lift may be out of service.
  • Programs usually take place on two floors of the building. With prior notice, programs can be adjusted for delivery on the main level only to better accommodate accessibility needs.
  • Washrooms are located in the lower level of the building and not fully accessible.
  • We are happy to work with you to find the best way to accommodate student needs during your visit. Please call the Education and Marketing Coordinator at (613) 962-2329 ext. 3653.
