Our education programs are designed to support the learning objectives of the Ontario curriculum through inquiry-based learning practices. A variety of programs are offered for school visits throughout the year. Custom programs can also be developed. All instruction is in English.

VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS AT GLANMORE GRADES 1-3 - Social Studies
Glanmore is decked for the season! Step into a snapshot of Christmas Past to learn about how celebrations have changed over time. Share family traditions and learn about special ways we celebrate the holidays in this exploration of an 1890s Christmas in Belleville. Students will also make an ornament to take home!
AT HOME WITH THE PHILLIPS Grades 8-12 - History and Geography
Explore the historic house to learn the story of Glanmore, the Phillips family and their servants. Climb the servant staircase, try the speaking tube system and experience Glanmore's new immersive kitchen exhibit. Discover what life was like for the women that lived and worked at Glanmore. This program incorporates primary source documents and role-playing activities that help students explore life at Glanmore at the turn of the 19th century.
VICTORIAN GARDEN GAMES GRADES K-6 - Social Studies, Physical Education
Play is universal! Bring your students for a day of historic games and activities. Tour the historic house to find ways that people of the past liked to play, learn about traditional toys and games, and try them out for yourself. This program includes active play outdoors. Indoor games will be substituted during inclement weather. HISTORIC HOUSE TOURS
