Glanmore actively collects local area history and objects original to the historic house. Due to space constraints, a collections policy is in place and items are assessed and acquired within specific criteria. Can I donate items to the museum?
Do I purchase tickets at the door or in advance?
You can purchase general admission to Glanmore at the door or online.
How long does it take to tour Glanmore?
Every visitor is different, however most people take at least one hour to go through the historic house. You may find your visit is longer when we have a travelling or temporary exhibit on display. Feel free to take as much time as you like!
Do general admission fees include access to temporary exhibits?
Yes! Your admission includes access to all of the museum's exhibitions including temporary and travelling exhibits. On select special event days, additional activities may be included in your admission.
Is Glanmore wheelchair and stroller accessible?
An accessible entrance allows you to access Glanmore's main floor with wheelchairs and strollers. Stairs provide access to all other areas of the historic house. There is a virtual tour video available for those who cannot reach the upper and lower levels. Learn more about accessibility at Glanmore.

Is food and drink allowed in the historic house?
To avoid attracting damaging pests, food and drink is restricted to specific areas of the historic building. If you bring food or drink item into the museum, we will ask you to finish it, set it aside until later or go downstairs to enjoy it.
A visit to Glanmore is usually self-guided. Guided tours can be booked with advanced notice.
There is a small selection of Glanmore souvenirs and related merchandise available to purchase at the museum's front desk located in the reception room.
Can I give a museum visit as a gift?
Yes, admission gift cards (Museum Passes) are available for purchase at the museum's front desk located in the reception room.
On-site parking is located behind the historic house and accessed from Dufferin Avenue. During popular public events at the museum, on-site parking may be limited. Street parking is also available with some time restrictions.
Yes, as a visitor to Glanmore you are encouraged to create memories and take photographs. We ask that you do not use a selfie stick and respect the privacy of other visitors. We also ask visitors to not hold your camera, phone or other device over displayed objects from the museum's collections.

Can wedding photos be taken at Glanmore?
Yes! Glanmore makes an excellent location for indoor or outdoor wedding photographs! Rentals of the museum and grounds are also possible. Contact glanmoreinfo@belleville.ca or call 613-962-2329 ext. 3650 and we will be in touch!
